Eric Morton is Department Chair of Arts and Humanities and Associate Professor of Philosophy at Georgia State University, Perimeter College. He completed his Ph.D. in Philosophy at Johns Hopkins University. He is a faculty affiliate of the Jean Beer Blumenfeld Center for Ethics. He also serves on the University Senate and Perimeter College’s Executive Committee.
His research focuses on pragmatism and on social and political philosophy. He also has wide-ranging interests in the history of philosophy. His dissertation dealt with issues in the philosophy of mind and language (focusing in particular on the important contemporary work of John McDowell).
